A night of cocktails in Railay by the beach......

It was an early start the next morning as we decided to get a boat over to Railay. I'd heard alot about it so just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. In order to get there we had to get a narrowboat over there and with our bags it was a mission to say the least. Lucy had over 22kg of bag, mine wasn't far off but we managed it. We kind of took the first place that was there. It seemed absolutely fine and was reasonably priced. Jo wasn't really happy to pay the price so she went off to see if there was anything cheaper. She ended up coming back to where we were as the other places were cheap for a reason!
I'd made a resolution for myself to get my own room for a change and not have to rely on someone else for the key etc.
We went straight down to the beach once we'd dropped our bags off. The beach was lovely and the water was really clear. Went straight in for a swim as it was a really hot day. In the end I think we were finding excuses as to why not to go to the bar...there was one right on the beach so we found ourselves a nice comfortable little seat and proceeded to get through the cocktail menu. Jo went off to find somewhere to get on to the internet. Meanwhile, think we managed to get through the manjority of the menu of cocktails and seemed to take pictures of almost all of them.
Got ourselves ready for dinner and I think I had a screaming fit as I found a cockroach in my room - I was not impressed. The dam things just don't die - even used my Lonely Planet guide to try and kill it. I had to get Lucy to come in and help me in the end! We made it down to dinner and can't quite remember what we had but it was followed by more cocktails! It was quite a long walk back to the huts but it did help us to sober up slightly. I do recall taking a random picture of an ugly bug!
Managed to get a relatively good nights sleep considering I kept thinking the cockroach was going to come and get me! Got up a reasonable time and got our bags together, we decided one night was enough so had some breakfast and decided to head over to Koh Lanta. It was something different yet again.
