Day 2 of the road trip.....

Woke up at 8.30 wondering whether I would be travelling with Oliver and Handra after the weird events of last night. If I wasn't I was going to head back to Kuta as much as that was admitting defeat. But as it happened Handra knocked on my door to apologise for knocking on my door in the night.
I went to have some breakfast on the terrace and what a view I got and it was such a lovely day too. Went for a swim and dosed in the little terrace thing. It was quite a nice chilled day today. Oliver shortly joined me and we decided we would head down to the ceremony of Handra's uncle. They had bought sarongs and head pieces the night before, I was relying on my trusty black sarong with flowers on and topped with a flower in my hair - actually felt quite respectable.
We stopped at Handra's house on the way to the wedding so that Handra could get changed, We missed the actual ceremony but there was loads of people there still. We were offered food and drink as soon as we arrived and a gift. It felt quite odd as normally we give the gifts not the other way round. They had an amazing chocolate cake, I kept checking out plates to see if anyone hadn't finished theres! Oliver and I were taking loads of photos but Oliver seemed to be the designated photographer for the occasion.
The bride and groom were dressed up really nice. The one thing they have a lot of out there is whitening products and the groom was very done up with a very pale face. Had a lovely lunch, I thought the desert of chocolate cake should have come after but hey it was food and it was actually really tasty. We left about 3.30 and got some lovely pictures of all of us together. One of the happy moments of the trio that we were!
We drove on to one of the bigger waterfalls and when Handra said it was high up, he was not joking. Half way down, even though we were going lower my fear of heights set in. There wasn't much of a rail and it was a small walk in comparison to the size and height of the waterfall. I couldn't get down and was a bit of a wuss so ended up staying at the one of the rest points half way down.
He walked back up with 3 guys and we all ended up taking lots of pictures, most of which had me in. Had they not seen a girl before - or maybe it was the English girl thing - I have no idea! We left just before 6 and rushed to get to a beach point to see the sunset but by the time we parked up it had gone behind the clouds. We had a drink by the beach and chatted for a while but for some reason tonight the mossies seemed to love me so we left after the drink. Stopped at a nearby supermarket and also at Hendra's uncle's house. He wanted to show us the spring water showers. I think we went into the water quickly to see what it was like but it was pitch black and electricity was only at the house not by the shower.
We finally got back for about 11.30 by which time when my head hit the pillow...I was out like a light.
