Hot in Bangkok

We arrived on the 17th of February into the craziness that is Koh San Road. We're staying at the Shambara HoStel until Monday. The hostel is fine, but we don't have proper beds and the room is absolutely tiny, so we have made it a complete mess! So far we have seen countless wats, the Grand palace, the old capital of Thailand and it is very very hot and Kat and I feel very unattractive. Somehow no one else managed to look as sweaty as us, even the men! The architecture is fantastic, all the temples are made out of gold and bright colours, and we have seen some huge Buddhas. We are starting to get wise to various tuk tuk scams so that can only be a good thing, but mostly everyone we have met has been really helpful and friendly - they see a pale person with a lonely planet and immediately assume that they are lost - which is most often the case! Driving around in a tuk tuk is great fun as long as you hold on tight, and everyone drives like a complete maniac!
