Feldberg day II

We woke up around 8am next morning after a good night sleep in the fresh and cold mountain air, not that we were sleeping outside but we had the window open.
We went down to the breakfast which was on the first floor. The restaurant was nice and open and every square inch was decorated with carvings in the wood or porcelain figurines. The view was great; we took a window table which was not difficult since we were very few guests there. We counted only 4 other people in the hotel besides the owners.
The breakfast was great as almost always in Germany; we could choose from loads of different müsli’s and fruits. Their bread was great and they had a large selection of different cheeses and sausages.
We quickly got dressed; my girlfriend was anxious to get some snow under her feet. Feldberg ski resort was only 15 min drive from the hotel in some stunning views. As I arrived to my car I found that my camera and my phone had been laying next to the car all night in the frost; they had apparently dropped out of my pocket while I was getting out of the car the evening before. How lucky can you be!
While we were driving we kept on looking at the temperature which changed dramatically during the short ride ranging from -1 to -12 degrees Celsius. We quickly found the ski area; there were some people there before us but not that many, actually what we had hoped from.
Kaija changed in to her outfit and hit the slopes; I on the other hand enjoyed the view and the sun which was clear on the blue sky. The temperature was only -1 and with the sun it was great. A two day lift card was only 48€ which I found ok.
