Now there..it is time to kiss the Blarney Stone!

We woke up early, got our fix of the daily cappucino (have I mentioned how hard it was when I returned to kick the caffeine down a knotch? Talk about withdrawl). We drove our way thru several winding highways, yet still surrounded by the beautiful landscape and found ourself after a couple of hours in the County of Cork. The Blarney Castle was easy to find as it is a very well known attraction. We followed the signs, parked and started our stroll onto the grounds.
Blarney Castle was absolutely picturesque! Green lush grounds, a flowing river and amazing fortress hardly do the place any sort of descriptive justice. On the approach to the castle by foot you arrive at a looking tower that was part of a once complete wall (incl.
We made our way to the rooftop where we had an incredible view of the Cork countryside and I can officially say that I have joined the millions of visitors in ever so gracefully (actually on my back with a castle employee hoisting me down the side of the building) kissing the BLARNEY STONE. Blessed with the gift of gab and sheer eloquence, as our last stop on our trip around the Ireland countryside, Blarney certainly met any and all expectations I had in visiting a real Irish Castle.
