Just a Taste
December 18, 2008
Wow, how much fun to go throughout Casablanca to the vineyards and taste all that great wine. We booked a tour from Santiago, Chile through Casablanca, and back to Santiago. The tour included guided walks through three different wineries, private tastings at each winery, and a gourmet lunch at a local restaurant - with pisco sours and even more wine - yummy!!! After lunch we decided to take a detour and visit the home of Nobel Prize winning poet Pablo Neruda. His house was spectacular and the view of the city from his study was unbelievable. I did review the tour guide so I won't do so again, but I will say I believe it was he who made it so wonderful.

A Great Guide
Wine Tours Valparaiso
I would just like to mention of the tour operator that we used out of Chile. Michael Ayandokun, of Wine Tours Valparaiso was great! We booked the full-day tour. This included pick-up and drop-off at out hotel in Chile, tastings at three vineyards, and a gourmet lunch at a local high-end restaurant. Michael was very personable and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend his services to others with interests in food and wine. All the best!
Oh yea, his contact info: Wine Tours Valparaiso - www.winetoursvalparaiso.cl - Phone: (56-8) 428 3502
