Cambodia - Siem Reap - Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, and the floating village at Tonle Sap

The Floating Village

We spent our final day traveling out to a floating village located on Tonle Sap Lake.  It is unbelievable to see people living and even thriving in this environment…the poverty is epidemic and saddening. Our guide told us that you could tell the “rich” families from the poor families because the rich families have walls.

In the evening we stayed at the hotel mostly for meals but did make it out to a club one evening for some drinks and dancing. The local girls at the club were very nice and wanted to teach me their local dances...that was so much fun. Did I mention they were listening to Eminem in that club? Lol

We had a  great time meeting the local people and visiting this country. The local people are warm and welcoming.
