Summers in Milwaukee
August 19, 2009
Summers in Milwaukee have officially been deemed PERFECT!
It's no secret that I'm not a fan of extreme heat (unless of course there is a swimming pool, ocean or sea nearby!) Midwest summers tend to be hot however because Milwaukee is conveniently nestled on the shores of Lake Michigan (and I live 1 mile from the Lake) and there is usually a constant, light, cool breeze off the Lake. I love it here!
The thermostat has only reached 90 degrees once this summer but typically the summer days are sunshine-filled and reach into the upper 70's. The nights cool off nicely and make the atmosphere perfect for a movie in the park (Pere Marquette Park, Friday nights), Jazz in the park (Thurs nights) or River Rythms in the park (Wed nights.) There is always something to do in the summertime in Milwaukee!
