Finally we arrived to our destination of choice. Lots of vineyards, supposedly castles, and time to do some wine tasting. We followed these signs that led us through a very narrow dirt path between grapevines where we saw signs, but it didn't seem quite right. As we were following the tiny path up, we reached a "fork" in the road and Brett says, "I think we should go this way because there's more traffic on it." We started laughing hysterically since we are on a dirt road barely wider than Brett's car and there is no one within miles of us - we are up on a hill in a vineyard! LOL.
After taking a few photos on the hillside, watching for traffic of course (haha), we headed down and looked for a place to try wine. We followed a sign to a vineyard and viola, we had arrived! Brett tried the door and thought it was locked. WHAT?!?! We drove all this way and they are closed!?????? I went up and tried it since the hours indicated they were open and duh, it was unlocked! (Sorry honey! :P)
The name of the winery was Thierry-Martin, formed in 1998. We got to try almost all their wines and almost passed out when I realized how inexpensive their bottles were. We bought a few bottles and headed on our way - Luxembourg was calling and we didn't want to get there too much after dark because it was soooooo cold out.
