While in Scotland I stayed near a small village called BlythBridge in the Scottish Borders area. This area is quite amazing and I enjoyed the time I spent there. I would travel to Edinburgh every week and although I wasn’t able to take pictures I was able to enjoy the city. I travelled to a town called Lanark also, which is famous for being the town where William Wallace (yes from the Braveheart movie) had his marital home.
I had a great visit from Trish and the girls while I was there and was able to show them a few of the sights. Which included a traditional Scottish wedding complete with kilts and it was at a “Fair Dinkum” ScottishCastle. We even had a picnic lunch on the bank of the TweedRiver and the girls watched as Daddy skipped stones across the water.
One thing about Scotland though, that I think might scare people of is all the windy rainy weather, but I did love the snow they had! Apparently the August I had there was the wettest on record since they started taking records in 1929!!! Maybe they made the weather like that so I would have something to complain about!
