X-Mas in Meppel

I visited Meppel and stayed with my Ex, Patricia (Trish is what I call her) over Xmas to spend some time with her and our children before I was to leave to go back to
Meppel is a nice small town, just a really good size, away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities bit with everything you would want.
Most of my time was spent with my daughters, but we got out and about a bit and enjoyed what there is to enjoy. I went ice skating with Reagan, which was great fun, it was my second time doing it, but the last time only lasted 5 minutes… so being out in the cold (minus 7 degrees Celsius) was amazing. There was frost and snow on the fake ice surface, enough so that every time we fell over we would get cold and wet. But that’s part of the fun in doing this with a 6 year old… it became a game to just fall over and laugh! I even got to walk on my first frozen pond, which felt really weird.
I had a couple of great visits from Dutch friends I made while in Scotland, thanks Jan Z and Tjakko for coming to visit me in Meppel. I hope they enjoyed the 5 minute tour of the city! Only joking there is more to see than that and Trish acted as tour guide
Thanks Trish for everything! You are a wonderful person and I won't let you forget it!
