South Beach Day or Night.
This is the Art Deco district. It doesn't look like the Miami Vice series, only Ocean Drive is like that. South Beach is great for shopping, restaurants and night life. You will find Designer shops(Collins Ave and Washington Ave) and nice white sand beaches with a few women topless, gay couples, people rollerskating and jogging. It is all about looks here. Eye candy for both men and women. Most men i like are gay but i can still look right?!
I like to go to Nikki beach (Ocean Drive & 1st ST) during the day, you can tan on their beds with pillows and towels and pay $20 to lay down all day, or order a bottle service if you are with a big group. I pay the $20 and you can order food(i like their option of salad instead of fries) and most importantly MOJITOS! the BEST mojitos I've had are here! sugar cane included!! There is also a DJ playing electronic and chill out music all day.
Best days to go are Sundays. There is a restaurant on the second floor of nikki beach-same owner, PEARL, the place is NICE but the food was overpriced and not so good. We were at least 20 or 25 and nobody was impressed with the food. I was very disappointed. I always wanted to have dinner here. The decor is amazing, so it is still a great Lounge. I would not have dinner again but drinks most likely I will go back. For early drinks i go to the Clevelander hotel(lots of tourists), or the Victor Hotel(less cowded). Both on Ocean Drive between 11th and 12th steet. Hot spots last time i went were Set (linconl Rd), SkyBar at the Shore Club Hotel (Collins Ave & 20th), Sagamore Hotel (Collins Ave & 18th), Mynt (Collins and 17th), Prive (Collins and about 3rd st).
Advices to get in: #1. if you dont have connections and are staying at a hotel ask the concierge for reservations. When there is more than 4 people they usually require bottle service. Cover is usually $20 IF you can get in. #2 Dress to impress, if you are not sure what to wear: black always works. #3 Try to have a mixed group of equal numbers of men and women. Women only groups are common and they usually get in faster.
Parking is hard to find!! if you are going to a restaurant you can do valet parking. There are a few garages but they get full!!! There is one on Collins Ave and 5th, Collins and 7th, Collins and 16th. I use the one on 7th if I can. It is closer to walk everywhere from here.
I also got mojitos!! they were great! the bartender said they were on the travel channel as the "Best Mojitos on South Beach". I don't know if they are the best but they were great!!! but the ran out of mint!! :(

Also there is a parking garage on Collins and 7Th to leave my car all weekend long.
