Lincoln Road
Lincoln Road is technically part of south beach. This is 17th st closed for a few blocks. People watching is the thing you do here. Obviously a great shopping experience. I rather sit down, have a coffee, watch people walk their dogs, eat something... this is what i do when it's the middle of the afternoon and nothing to do or if i don't feel like going to a club.
I love Romero Britto's art. There is a Gallery on Lincoln Road.
There is a place that I like to go out: Santo. This one is closer to the Washington Ave end of Lincoln Rd. They have a live band that plays all kinds of music and also a DJ with house on the weekends and I think spanish night on Thursday but I'm never in Miami by Thursday so I haven't been but my friends tell me that.
There is a place that is always full: Segafredo. This is a coffee shop. The perfect place to sit down and people watch. I haven't tried their coffee but i bet people sit here for the "view".

There are paintings, sculptures, and a gift shop. Ever since last superbowl(2007) that he was in charge of the show Miami has been "invaded" by Britto on the buses and even the wall @ Macys in South beach.
You can also see one of his "public art displays" driving on I-95N(Interstate Highway, Miami, FL) just past the Miami Beach exit. Also at the Dadeland Station where the Mr. Welcome sculpture is at.

I love their mojitos and other cocktails as well. Make sure you have plenty of time, they are always busy. Service takes a while and I've always been lucky with tables but large groups might have to wait. I would recommend this place for sure.
