Snorkeling
August 5, 2008
Before I went to Curacao, I knew I was going to snorkel and I wanted to make sure to get some great underwater photos. The problem was, I don't have the waterproof case for my digital camera. I want to get it, however it costs a bit, and I don't live near the ocean (making it not so practical) or anything, so I'll have to wait. Instead, for this trip I just bought a disposable underwater camera. The cheap ones you can find at any store. They don't really take the best pictures, but it's better than nothing. The first day we snorkeled, the water was a little murkey, making the photos a little hard to see. Regardless, I still wanted to share them all with you. Until I get that waterproof case for my digital camera, this is all I have. I love taking pictures underwater, so I definately want to use my camera that I know and love. Next time I hope to have some really kick A pictures from my digital camera, where ever we snorkel next.

Snorkeling in the Caribbean
The Caribbean has crystal clear waters, which makes it ideal for diving. A cheap, or even free, thing you can do is go snorkeling. Most likely, you won't be disappointed. There are so many things to see under the water. Make sure you get a waterproof camera! Curacao has numerouse dive locations. You can snorkel right of the beach, or you can venture out a little further and snorkel around the sunken tugboat. There is even a plane crash site you can dive to. I mainly stuck to snorkeling at the hotel since it was free and right outside my door, but it was still a lot of fun! I saw all kinds of fish, and another guy in the group even saw an octopus! It's great fun that everyone can enjoy.
