Driving From Sunrise to Sunset
January 7, 2008
On our road trip from Oklahoma to Georgia, we always seem to reach Nashville at sunset. On top of that, Nashville is where the time zone changes from Central to Eastern and we lose an hour, making it seem like we've been driving a lot longer than we actually have. This is why the sun sets in Nashville at 4:30 p.m. in January! That doesn't happen where I live. It was a little weird! And it gets dark pretty fast. We ended up stopping for dinner to relax and wait out the traffic.
I took this photo from the front seat of the car out of the window while my mom was driving through rush hour traffic on the highway (which is a nightmare there). Not the best photo, I know, but I still like it. =)
