Talita and I stayed in a hostel in Dublin centre for a week, it was such a week! There was just so much that we wanted to see, so we just tried to see everything that was in the guide books(well as much as posible) before we left! ....and I'm pretty sure we succeeded! Some of the things we managed to see were, The dublin writers museum, the garden of rememberance, Dublin castle, St Patricks Cathederal, Trinity college, City Hall, Christ church cathederal, Tailors Hall, Marsh' Library, St Auddens Gate, The four Courts, Dublin Fusiliers Arch, South City Market, The General Post office, the national galery, Merion Square with the Oscar Wilde memorial, we also went shopping for a day and obviously made a trip to the Guiness factory!! And thats without mentioning the evening excusions to Temple bar.
Dublin just has so much to see and do, it really does have something for eveyone. I loved the trip to the guiness factory, it was really interesting to see how it's made. The free pint in the gravety bar is also pretty cool! They have also managed to 'cut out' the shape of a guniess glass through the heart of the 'museum' which you dont really realise till you get to the top! Its quite cool!
Annother great thing about dublin is that 'its not too far to walk' , Dublin is not small by any means but most of the main attrations are all with in walking distance of where ever you are staying. We found that as long as we planned our days fairly well, and went to a different area each day we we were getting loads of fresh air, and seeing the city from a better vantage point than being hurtled around in a bus all day with hundreds of other tourists.
All in all it was another great trip!
