LCCT - KLIA airport
As I mentioned from my previous entry, I met up with Mark again for a dinner and few drinks. Oh by the way, thanks for the meds bro! Hehe. For everyone’s info, I was having an acid reflux slash stomach pain since the past 2 weeks. Not that I was too excited LOL. So thank you bro for the tablets! I’ll be needing that for the succeeding days for sure hahaha.
We called the night off around midnight because my flight is 7:10 in the morning. And the airport is about an hour away from KL. In short, I need to wake up around 3:30 and must leave my place before 4:30 so I can be in the airport on time.
I woke up by his call! Thank you again bro! I owe you so MUCH already! To make the long story short, I managed to get to the airport on time.
It was actually my first to see many people travelling like that in LCCT airport. There was a long queue just to scan the luggage even before checking in. Luckily, I am on time so I didn’t worry much. MY boarding time is 6:40 pm. Since I still have ample time, I decided to take a breakfast, where else again, McDo!
After that, I transferred to Coffee Bean and ordered a hot vanilla while checking my TB. I was just checking if Carla, a TB friend, sent a message where to meet actually. Ok so here’s the stupid part. As we all know, we need to go through immigration first before we can board the plane. Meaning, we must already be in the boarding area before the boarding time. But the stupid me, forget about that and thought that the boarding time is only when I go to see the immigration.
So I walked in a slow pace, knowing that I wasn’t delayed yet. Then alas, when I came to the entry door for immigration, there was already a long queue of people! That’s the time I started to panic and realized that I should have been inside by that time. They are already calling all passengers going to Phuket to board yet I am still there waiting in the long queue. Tensed and agitated, I spoke to the officer-in-charge if he can escort me directly in front of the line because I’ll definitely miss my flight. But he was busy and can’t assist me so I ran hurriedly in front and talked directly to the immigration officer. I actually ran to the booth for airport's staff and crew not for passenger hehe. I showed him my Malaysian immigration card together with my passport and almost begged if he can let me get in asap. Thankfully, he allowed me to get in without questions asked. I ran as quickly as I can. I was like competing in the Amazing Race hurriedly catching my flight. Thank God, I manage to board the plane on the niche of time. I was one of the last few people boarded. Whew! That was nerve-wracking!
