one of the hot pools - it doesnt look like much but it really is amazing.
These are some great natural hot springs, the only downfall is they are in the middle of no where in the klein karoo!!   We had a great time here soaking in the hot pools especially after a great sudden thunderstorm rolled in.   We were sat eating out dinner on the stoep (veranda) looking out into the utter nothingness of the valley.   It had been a sweltering 42 Degrees celcius that day so it was nice that the cooler evening air was starting to flood over us.   All of a sudden though a great gust of wind came blowing half of the kelin karoo, tumbling weeds and all, down the road beside us, luckily we were sheltered by the building, the next thing we know, a huge sheet of rain is making is way down the valley towards us.  Now when I say rain...I have never seen rain like this before, It was like a wall of water approching!  With full on thunder and lightning in its midst!  It was like on a cartoon where someone has a rain cloud over there head!    The whole thing lasted all of 20 minutes before It was all gone and you could once again hear the familiar sing of the cicadas.   You could see the storm progressing down the valley after it had left us.  It was a very bazaar thing to have witnessed, but it was really fun at the same time!   After the storm we went for another swim in the pools before crawling into bed.
