Statue of Frits Philips! (feat. Me and Chris)
We went to Eindhoven last Friday and we had off course a lot of fun! I was going there to visit a dear friend of mine, but when we arrived, she was very ill. She had gastroenteritis and the people who had that, know what a dull situation that is! I had it last year.. but anyways.. We went to Eindhoven (without my good friend Debbie) and we visited some great things in the centre of Eindhoven. First of all we had some shopping to do.. But we had one big problem, we didn’t take any money with us.. Pretty lame situation! So we run in some shops, looked a bit around and then head on to the next shop :D We also did some sightseeing. Went to the church, looked a bit around over there and moved on.
Some nice looking restaurants! (also a statue of a Freedom Fighter)
Some time went by and we started to get hungry.. Because we had no money we had to go to McDonalds, because the food is very cheap! :P (We had some money off course, but not enough to buy clothes or something) After the McDonalds we went to the PSV Stadium. It was a lot bigger than I had expected, but not as beautiful as I thought. We took some pictures over there and went back to the centre of the city. On the big plaza near the church were some statues of “famous” people from Eindhoven. One of them was Frits Philips. One of the most important persons of the Philips Company. He was responsible for a lot of great things of the Philips Company.
When we arrived home, we played some darts and later that night we went to Fortuna Sittard, the local soccer club. We had a great night in the stadium and “our” team had won against Helmond Sport (3-1) So we had some celebration to do after the match :D
