A nice meet up in Utrecht

Lazy on the Fatboy

Last year we went to the Holliday fair. Very disappointed that it was over. Again another year to wait!! But, time really does fly. Yesterday we went for the 4^th time to the holliday fair. This time Patricia from tb arranged a meet up. We went out of bed early (I did, but mandy did not so we had to buy some bread at the train station). We took the train from Arnhem to Utrecht. And we arrived as planned at 09.50 in Utrecht. The Jaarbeurs is not far away from the train station, so we were very early at the fair. The other TB members had to arrive in a short time, we decided to take a short look around. Of course we were late!!! Most of them had already arrived.

Patricia had made a plan to lead us through the jaarbeurs in an effective way.

And it was effective. I have seen everything, but I was as tired as could be. No feet left. Finally I could sit for a moment when patricia decided that it was time to move on. If I had known before that there was a place where you really could relax, i would have been there before the whole group was there. I think mandy and I were the last persons who found the “relax room”.

And you get very hungry walking around and smelling such wonderful things from other countries. Philip would show us the way where they cook Indonesian food. We walked for a long time, entering always the same hall 1 and 2. But, no food!! He was mistaken. The only thing we could think of was how to get as soon as possible something to eat. We saw the Greek food stall. No more discussions, sit and eat. And it was delicious!!!!

Afterwards we went to the luggage room.

Or better a central meeting point. And we were sitting very lazy and enjoying doing NOTHING. But we forgot to tell the others that we did not come back to the carribean food stall. (we said that we would come back to them, oeps, forgotten!)

It was time to go to the After party. We went upstairs, and we were let into a very nice and big bar. A carribean band played nice music. Although it was a bit loud, but nice! And they had very nice cocktails, even without alcohol. But after such a long day you get very tired, and I did not mind going home at 00.30. It was a very nice, funny, lovely day!! Hope to do that again next year!! Just read that the new date is 13 t/m 17 januari 2010!!!
