That's right, it's Children's Day again! And instead of having it off like a few privillaged schools and teachers, Brett, Liva and myself had to work it for Ma Ron International Education Group (school) since they are the biggest marketing school I know! Actually the whole thing was a big let down with the exception Wei got to go and some of the performances were cute.
My students were the oldest group so their dance was a little more complicated and they had to do more performances. They did great considering a few more acts were put in before they performed my song (hokey pokey). Last minute changes like that ruined the smoothness and so i hurried to get them all dressed in time, and it was a mess getting them on the stage because no one helped with it and finally the music came on and no one as ready; yet they still did a really good job of it!
Our Foreign teacher performance was good, but our costumes were crap. I was told we were doing Peking Opera, which was why i was excited in the first place because it is so expensive to dress up and do that. Then we discovered we were doing a love story; lame but ok, we went with it. Then when costume day came we were given the cheapest, dirties costumes I had ever seen! The teacher put the money into her costume instead of ours!!!! So I, Jeanette, and Brett wore these disgusting smelly costumes that looked like they had never been washed before ><
Wei enjoyed the show. So that is what really mattered.
