pretending not to pose
After we arrived mad and pissed off and sad a bit (but still not bepressed;) ) from almost-Montserratwe started to see the awesome Barcelona. From Catalunya we walked through Barri Gotic then down to Carrer Princesa and reached Parc de la Ciutadella. From there turned to Arc de Triomf, where we saw this weird group of middle-east-people doing weird things... first we thought it's a funeral, then some sort of demonstration, but it looked really strange... it could be both because of the war in Gaza-strip,but we were not sure. Next stop was the huge penis - with its official name Torre Agbar - nice tower with different colors of lights, especially beautiful at night. From there it was not far to Sagrada Familia - with RJ we discussed when they will finally finish this master piece of Gaudi.
run! (Parc de la Ciutadella)
Hm... it looks awesome but it's a shame the construction works take so long. Since we have already started to see Gaudi's stuff we decided to look at the houses made by him at Passeig de Gracia - we walked down the Diagonal to Casa Terrades  then turned to Passeig de Gracia and saw the Casa Mila - la Pedrera and Casa Batlló.
We should have some food at that time i guess, but i was infected by RJ with his desease - "forgetting everything" - ahhaha. so i dunno what and where we ate, if we did at all! ;)
This was not all what Gaudi made in Barcelona - another most popular work of his is Parc Guell. If u don't want to climb too much u have to go to metro station Vallcarca - L3 and use the escalators to go up the hill where the park is situated. From this side, when u enter the Parc - u shouldn't turn right to go down to the main place  but left and climb a bit the hill - there u will have much more nice view over the city.

Then we went down to the main entrance with this funny houses (see the main picture for Barcelona!).
as we started the day with some nature and visited already two big parks in the city we decided to see another one... probably the best and hugest one - Montjuic. We went there using the funicular and then walking - trhe bus escaped so - nevermind. It's only like 15 minutes walk up the mountain so we didnt mind. Then we saw again the beautiful view over the city on the left and over the sea with port and airport on the right.
At this point we turned our almost-bepression into joy and went back to the town - visiting fira (exhibition centre) with Palau Nacional. Unfortunately the huge fountain at Pl. Espańa wasn't working - but it's ok, since we all know RJ was in town - so it was better to turn off everything there;) It was getting darker and darker so i thought, RJ should see the Torre Agbar again - but this time at night and.

.. guess what we saw when we arrived there? They turned off all the colors at the Agbar! ahaahhaha - sorry RJ, but it's ur fault, no colors for u this time - but you can always look it up - in my previous blog about Barcelona in febr. 2007:))) Ther you can at least see what you missed;)
Wag kang mag-alala, tingnan ko yun susunod!
I think at that time we went back to the hostel... but i have no idea what for? hhahaha but it was late so we started food-hunt. And we were successful - we found a very nice italian restaurant near Santa Maria del Mar - the pizza and lasagna were excellent! I took beer as always but RJ - like an animal! - just water! Poor kLumpel! He drinks just coke or water - hahaha;)))
Since we were so close to Santa Maria del Mar we visited it after dinner - this is the cathedral of the poor people - you might have read this book about construction works of this beautiful church.
Arc de Triomf - hanging in the air
It's pretty different church, there are no these privat chapels founded by rich people, so the church looks more open, more spacious - different, interesting - very nice.
so that's all for this day, we bought some food for breakfast and went back to the hostel.
