Camping in Hamada

Hamada Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

When I was in grade 7 I did an exchange to Japan for 2 weeks. In the years after I kept in touch with the girl who's house I stayed at and in March of 2006 she came to stay at my house for 10 days. After that I decided I wanted to go back to Japan. Tomoko thought it was a good idea to so I made the plans and went there by myself in August for 20 days. It was amazing, Japan is a beautiful country and I can't wait to go back. This blog is finally finished!!Yay I'm happy now.

Camping in Hamada

Me, Tomoko, Marina, and Ryoko left in the morning for a 2 hour drive to Hamada to go camping. On our way there we stopped at the Aquas Aquarium in Shimane for a couple hours and for lunch. Then we kept going to our campsite at Iwami Kaihin Park which turned out to be right on the ocean and not really a campsite, a cabin. You can rent everything you need; blankets, sleeping mats, barbecues, cutting boards, knives. After getting all of that stuff we went to our cabin and dropped some stuff off and then we went out to go buy food for dinner. We then came back to the campsite to get set up. We had a barbecue like the one with Tomoko's family. Me and Tomoko made the vegetables. The view was so beautiful, I loved it. After dinner we went onto the beach and lit off firecrackers. There were a lot of bugs on the picnic table we had dinner at, it was not good. The cabin we slept in was really awesome, there was electricity, outlets, shelves. It was definitely not what I would call camping.
