chinese food with sal and wally
Alright so here goes!! the fist blunder i made was when i posted a mini meet up and said that the meetup on the 29th when actually i meant the 30th. so im sorry to wally cause he waited for us in Dam at noon on the wrong day!! but luckily Keiko new about my horrible memory and idiotness so she made sure the exact day of the actual meeting. when my and grzechu arrived in a'dam that night... it was still freezing.. seems like the cold followed us from germany but our first goal was to find our hostel so we drop of our bags. turns out that our christian hostel was located right smack dab in the middle of the red light district... it was literraly window window door to hostel hahah.. it was funny cuase they had prayer times etc... but after we dropped off our bags i gave sal a call and we decided to meet up for dinner.
picking up lili!!
we went to Dam and went into the store where they were.. they wre buying some sort of gps thingy for sals friend..there i met Wally, Mike, and Sal ofcourse and we decided to go for some chinese food. This was our first chinese food.. there are many more chinese food to come all over europe. hahah so after the chinese diner which mike did not go to.. we decided to walk around abit where Sal bought this cool HAT!!! hahah then we took a tram to Sal cool hotel to drop him off then me and grzechu decided to walk back to our hostel while seeing a few sites on the way. the hostel we stayed in was okay.. the next day was our actual mini meetup with keiko and the others.. me and grzechu ofcourse went somewhere first that morning then we went to Dam at 12 but no one was there!! haha and it was freezing so we decided to go into the coffee shop.
i like this pic
. then keiko calls and says shes outside so i went out there to meet her then a few mins later mike came... then sal.. we had some coffee and chocolates and exchanged stories.. it was a great start... then lili calls and says shes at the station. so we decided to pick her up. when we got there she was in line to buy a ticket to paris and so we waited for her and tooka bunch of pics.. we were pretty loud in the station and the lady told us to keep quiet. hahah everyone was hungry so we wanted to get something to eat... keiko suggested dumplings!! so this is our second chinese food of the trip! hahah we went throught the red light district and ended up at this small chinese restaurant which was pretty awesome... good food and more great conversation!! then after the great lunch we walked around some more and i think we decided to windmill!! which mike says he knew where it was hahaha.
. but during that time we saw this statue of a guy lying down with a trumpet and we took pictures... there was this old guy there.. he was watching us on the bench but then when he got up and walked.. LOL it was like a runway model!! or a pageant queen hahahah.. it was so funny.. anyways.. back to the story.. we walked around the freezing cold and passed some playground equipment!! haha we played a bit.. then we got into a supermarket where sal and lili jumped into the mini copter. we finally realized that mike didnt know where the hell he was going.. promising us this no existant windmill in town.. so we took a train outof town towards real windmills keiko said existed.. we got off the train... walked about in the cold streets then took a ferry to another place that was like an abandoned christmas village.
.. there we walked through the creepy ammitiville town towards these two windmills where mike took awesome photos (which i am still waiting for) then we headed back for some dinner in town.. we had some overpriced not worth it food.. forgot which origin... but the food didnt matter cause again the conversations were great!! our group clicked instantly and it was like we had been friends for a long time. after this it was about time to go to the karaoke meet up thing... everybody went their own way.. lili went with keiko... and others went to their respected hotels to get ready for the bigger meet up... we arrived at the bar and we meet so many cool people.. we had a few drinks but we had to leave early cause he had a train to paris in the morning. we didnt see a few of my friends from the states... but it was okay.. we walked keiko back to her train and said goodbye to her.. it was a great day in amsterdam with awesome friends!!
