July 1st- 13 months on our trip! We're thrilled with all we've seen and think 13 months is long enough- ready to head home!
We drove a couple dozen miles down the road to the Behans. Well, first we went by the local gas station and got gas, replaced a propane tank so both are full, and washed and vacuumed Sugar. Then we took her home. It was rather emotional, driving up the Behan's long driveway, knowing our journey is coming to a close.
The Behans are, of course, in the U.S. and enjoying the Navajo Nation now, by the way. So we missed not seeing them, but we got the house key and managed to get several loads of laundry and linens done. Then we ordered pizze (30E for 3 small margarita pizzas- we had to remind ourselves that this is expensive Ireland) and visited with Orla's sister, Fiona, who kindly dropped by to see us.
We'd unloaded ALL our JUNK from Sugar into the Behan's family room and what a MESS! We could not believe how much stuff we have! And we're not even "shoppers!"
We slept in Sugar and the rain lulled us to sleep. One last night in dear Sugar...
