It was a Magical Day at the Magic Kingdom!
2009 is the year to get in free to a Disney Park on your birthday! I'd registered Jazy online in advance. The campground had provided her a packet at check-in with a signed card from Snow White and a birthday button with her name on it to wear! Whoo-hoo!
At the Will-Call booth at the Magic Kingdom entrance, we turned in the confirmation email and showed her passcard - she got a free birthday i.d. card that was then used as her ticket in and Fastpass. At one ride, only birthday groups could use the Fastpass machine, so that was a big timesaver! Also, everyone told her "Happy Birthday!" all day- and seemed like they really meant it!
However, one time as Jazy trotted through a gift shop to exit a ride, an employee stepped in front and held up his hand to stop her.
The ride lines were short for the most part (although I did see one 60-minute wait in the afternoon) and we were 4 hours ahead of the schedule in one of the Disney guidebooks. Although we were SO fortunate that Magic Extra Hours were to be that night from 8-11pm, we were really finished with everything (and tired) by 7pm. It was a perfect day and we rode the monorail (just for fun) and then the boat back to Fort Wilderness Campground.
Of course we needed to do Charles' best-pizza-in-the-world research, so we got 2 pizzas from the Trails End Buffet and balanced them carefully on the bikes as we rode back to our RV's for a feast. The kids went to the movie at the campfire and we were sad that our last day at Disney had come to an end. So much fun, so little time. Next time, we'll stay for a week!
