Another Day in Paradise

The weather could not be more perfect as we enjoyed Ft. Wilderness today. The kids ran over to the Meadows area and met some new friends, including kids their age who were homeschooling and had two sisters adopted from China! The campground runs a kids program with certain times for activities and they really enjoyed outdoor games.
Then we biked a paved trail through a sweet-smelling pine-forest to the Wilderness Lodge. A kids' cookie decorating program was going on and all the kid friends met again for that delicious opportunity. Mom and I tested the poolside pina coladas and deemed them very worthy! Dad got Jazy a flattering caricature for her birthday present. (Only at Disney would a caricature look so lovely- of course it must be the subject too).
That evening, Arabian Nights dinner show about 8 miles from the campground (we piled in their tow car) was great fun as we loved the beautiful horses, costumes, humor, and lighting in the arena. We bought our tickets from a Mousesaver deal with Undercover Tourist for half price (their UPS store ticket pickup in Orlando was easy and quick. Seats were front and center -assigned at check-in). Here's a good review of the show http://www.mousesavers.com/dinnershows1.html and while dinner was included, you wouldn't want to go for that alone. But all-in-all, for the kids in the group (and Grandma), it was a really amazing show, and a swell time for Dad and me.
