On our bus ride from Belise into Guatemala. We are on our way to Tikal to see the famous ruins. A couple that is sitting across from us are telling us about Flores and how nice it is to stay there and then to just take the but into Tikal. We don't need much convincing when that sounds better then what we were thinking. A brigde that I estimate about 300 meters long is what seperate that from the main land. This little town site in the lake. There arent that many blocks in this town, maybe a dozen each way. Its nice how the middle of the island is has also the highest peak with a little square and a few benches so you can enjoy the view. There's a great Hostel here that's in Lonely planet and it is totally full. Sorry forgot the name of it. We did go back for it's recommended food and it was awesome. There isn't much to do here but it's great if you want to chill for a few days. Being around Christmas is just a great little place for us to enjoy. There is plenty of hotels here, a few restaurants and very cozy streets to wonder in. Impossible to get lost here, it's that small, but nice.
