Gaudi's masterpiece
That long walk in the night made us sleep until 9 and today we were about to walk in another part of Barcelona the Eixample. We enjoyed a picknick in Parc de Ciutadella, which is very big and it was on our way to the Sagrada di Famiglia. . This is the masterpiece of one of the most famous architects: Antoni Gaudi. If you walk on Las Ramblas you can discover some architecture from his hand.
The Sagrada is his masterpiece and excells in size, decorations and hours of work dedicated to its construction. The works after almost a hundred years haven't been finished yet! It's also definitely worth a visit on the inside. The huge decorated pillars mark themselves a way to the ceiling. You can take the circular stairs to the top and you will be rewarded with splendid views! As this is one of Barca's top tourist attractions it is possible you will have to wait a bit at the entrance but it's not that bad. The church is truely huge and you really don't know where to look first. Everything is so detailed which makes Gaudi a true mastermind in my opinion.
Another masterpiece by Gaudi is La Pedrera located in the neighbourhood of Sagrada. this house designed by Gaudi has an extraordinary roof sure to be visited! Astonished by this splendour I wanted more to see of Gaudi's work and we decided at that point to visit Parc di Guell as well later on during our journey.
