A Blink in the Big Apple!

Actually not only Europe was always a dream destination, but also to get to see the amazing Big Apple!. When I was a teenager I went to NY but to the country side, Buffalo; had a great experience, but still it wasn't the heart of NY! :)

So, on purpose I purchased this ticket that was going to make a stop in NY, there was a 12 hours waiting, which would give me enough time to get into the metro, and get to see a bit of Manhattan.
I arrived in JFK, passed customs, checked my bags again and I was ready to get into the Metro. NOW, let's begin with the fact that there's no metro where I come from, so it was something new to deal with :) ..... After asking for info, and ALWAYS, always asking ppl for direction, it wasn't that bad at the end! :)
I managed to appear on 9th Av. and the 42nd St, the first thing I remember after coming out of the metro was the cold weather, the noise of the cars and streets, the tall grey buildings and the Xmas spirit! It was Xmas Eve that day. Everything was nice and awesome except for the fact that it was raining!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! ..... and I didn't have any umbrella, so I was just running and jumping from one place to the other not to get that wet! lol ....

I couldn't take many pics this time as it was raining and cold.  I knew that on my way back I was going to have several hours to manage to come to Manhattan, so I didn't worry much about the pics! .... This time I was just going to enjoy the city, despite of the rain! :)
I stayed for a couple of hours, checking and walking, and I was not close to the street where I came in the first place, still walking around suddenly I saw the main metro station!! It was like the light at the end of the tunnel! hahaah.... So, I got in there, had a New Yorker hot dog (I had to try it lol, it was not that bad haha), and got into the E Line to travel almost one hour back to JFK.
