Seriously strange

It was seriously strange last night to see our tiny little street sealed off by police in riot gear. To watch from the balcony as the police, wearing kevlar and holding perspex shields and batons, form a human shield to cut off the traffic while the thugs chanted and yelled. To see the riot police breakup and jump into their armoured van and speed off to the next location. To see the screaming skinheads being escorted by a row of silent armed guards to make sure none acted upon the hate speech they were spouting.

Call it skin-heads,facism,vlaams belang or whatever. The world has evolved and people should treat every human being with respect. Why create borders that even the creator didn't.I wonder if there is any such thing as real pure race existing in present times.I am only left with the conclussion that most of these protesters are 1st class iliterates in all dimensions.

They're not exactly "welcomed" to Leuven ;-) but as long as they don't commit any crimes they're free to go wherever they want. They hold debates and protests in Ghent and Antwerp as well, but usually Leuven is the worst of all.

I don't really understand why they should be welcomed to Leuven for their protest if they live elsewhere, but yeah... it is sensible for the police to stop the freaks from hurting someone.
