A day off
I have been on Curacao for 8 days, and I am working on a archaeological project with other students from the university of Leiden, to map shell proscessing sites from the 'archaic period'. We want to find out what kind of the shells they ate, if they used them to make certain artefacts of the shells themself, and if so, what their purpose would be. Yesterday we had our first day of and we visited kristoffel park, it was real nice! During our visit their we had our lunch on the atlantic coast, and while we enjoyed our lunch, some girls were doing a fotoshoot on the beach below. Of course we guys couldn't resist and went down to have peek and make some foto's ourselves:p In the the evening we had dinner in restaurant wich is located in container!! It was so cool.
Starting tomorrow a series of new excavations are going to start, in wich we will excavate another series of shell proscessing sites near Spanish water. I will tell you about those excavations next week.
