Scuba diving day trip
First day diving @ Gordon rock, I must admit I had looked around the night before for diving and found only 2 dive operators who charge 145$ for 3 dives /day where most will charge 2 dives @120$..
As well most are going to the same spots anyhow so might as well do more....
Diving is / was not as spectaculare as I had hoped for sure the viz was only about 5 m (12-15feet) thus not much to see and most things are rather big... not to much for micro photo still I found a few things.
One thing though is cool - wall diving - there several spots where you can find great spots for this deep diving. we where lucky as our guide let us go deeper and was not to worried about time either and after all we / most of us used Computors anyhow..
So first day Gordon rock on all sites but not to much to see,
2nd day we whent to Beagle rock which is closer to isla Islabella a bit further out, there we had a bit better viz and more to see, again we had our diving time and deapth flexible which was great we did 40m (120feet) for most the time and dive time of 50+ min!!
the 3rd dive our dive guide suggested to hop over closer to 'home" and do minor dephney its a volcanic rock with great walls dropping vertically off
most walls had some soft corrals, and sea lions "chasing" after uss to play with us.
.this is what I am used form diving in /around melbourne too so it was not anything new for me.
Ok we had the chance to do soem "bird watching" and of course saw the water iguanas too.
I had been on a day trip to Isabella too and would rather go diving next time there vz was @ snorkeling much better then the north part of the island and as well more fish life...
