The adventure of (yet un-named ) the gnome begins !

Iguaz Falls

way to the big fall (garganta)

Once again a long overnight trip by buss, however great services offered during this trip. (look for info on bus travel in my info)

Certainly the surroundings looks much more tropical and we are greeted with nice warm temperature.

We had booked a hostel in advanced which turned out to be a “apartment “ like with 3 rooms and a kitchen included, the interesting thing however and I had heard about it previously are the shower heads which are electric “heads” attached to the shower head to heat up the water…

Of course if one turns on to much its not going to be hot…

Anyhow the city does remind me on tropical area such as in north of Australia due to the read earth too.

Lush green vegetations, and lively outdoor settings. All though at this time where not to many tourists in town.

We did on the 2nd day a day trip to the falls, but decided not to visit the Brazilian site as the Argentinean area is itself rather big.

Taking the bus form the main terminal to the falls   early morning (they go roughly every 30 min..when arriving at the park it was already full of tour groups which dispersed in the park well and it did not feel as if one is surrounded to much with them.

We knew it is going to be hot so we made the top part our first priority to avoid mid day sun, so first we took the “train “ to the gargante then the middle part and lower part. There is a bit of walking involved and a coffee spot we spend some time to refresh, however where disrupted by nasty “wild life” talk about pick pocketing, those little nasty’s actually stole packets of chips out of visitors hands and took off with them.

I too was victim of their nasty attack when one came up to pinch one of my bags of food…the bag split and some nuts dropped on the floor, where I was suddenly surrounded by about 8 of the nasty’s.

The walk however at the park is quite nice all though can be hard at times with the heat, but there is the option of hopping in to the water to cool off…there  is a option for people to go a 2nd day for 50% off the entry fee – or if your in a group and like to see both sites to split – some go to Brazil first and then swap the tickets to get a 50% discount….

The city boasts a few attractions but not that much
