Our bus from Hong Kong to Guangshou was really simple and easy and the border checkpoint was actually one of the easiest and hassle free borders we have gone through.
We arrived in Guangshou earlier than we thought we would so we headed for the Bus station to organise a bus to Guilin the next day. We arrived at the train station which was near the bus station and it was utter chaos, carnage. So we made our way through the seething mass of humanity and got to the bus station. Luckily for us there was english speakers on the information desk who helped us with our tickets.
After getting the tickets we headed for our accomodation for the night which we would be doing more couchsurfing with Eli and american expat with a really nice apartment, and he even fed us some delicous food.
On our second day we had intended on doing some brief sightseeing before heading off to Guilin on the night bus, only problem was the weather was horrendous and we were pretty much stuck in doors all day. It wasnt all bad because Elis maid came round which some delicous food for lunch. We managed to get out for a couple of hours but didnt see much. This didnt bother us too much as we new Guangshou was just a stop off to Guilin for us.
At 9pm we left Elis place and headed to the bus station for our bus onwards
