I found myself wandering around my neighboring countries again, savoring its magic&charm. W/ MJ, we strolled the streets of Singapore, KL, Penang, Bangkok, Lopburi and Ayutthaya, while I’ve gone solo in Vientiane. At the end of it all, I got sensory overload w/ new&exotic flavors, old&distinct scents, stunning architecture&historical landmarks, loud&quiet sounds, busy&serene air – but still I want MORE. I simply can’t get enough of Asia.
After we spent the entire day getting lost around Pratunam Market, with sore legs & arms and empty stomachs, we hungered for some pampering. And so Jof & Aying joined us for dinner.Just near the area (I think it was in Silom area), Jof brought us to heaven, I mean restaurant.
It’s called Moohkata, an eat-all-you-can + shabu-shabu style restaurant.Just for 100THB, we ate unlimited shrimps, and not just the small ones, salmon, beef, pork, veggies, even sushi & maki, fruits, and salad until we had to unzipped our buttons. Then there was unlimited ice cream and Thai ice drops for dessert!
When I first came to BKK last January 2008 with my BFF, we didn’t shop.We found everything to be expensive.BKK was supposed to be the shopping haven of Asia but we can’t afford even a simple tee! That was because we weren’t going to the right places. After thorough research and per my mom’s first-hand experience, this time, I was equipped with enough knowledge of where to shop.It was time to exercise my calves & arms.Wearing my comfy Havs, an empty backpack, and a wallet almost full of Thai baht, we were ready for THE Pratunam Market!
When we got there, it was indeed cheap cheap.Honestly, another reason why I travelled to Bangkok was to shop, shop for my tiangge that is.So the goal was to buy pieces for my tiangge. But of course in choosing garments, I also bought what I want and would wear just in case those items wouldn’t be saleable.:)Just thinking ahead.OK, I bought those items and wished no one would buy them. There, I said it.Hmpft.
