No shopping for today. We’d intended this day to see nature & experience ancient towns.
Jof & her friends picked us up with a rented van. Half of our day was to be spent in Lopburi, about 2 hours from
It was about when we saw the wonderful sunflower fields. Everything was in full bloom! The sunflowers were as huge as my face (and my face is really huge! :)) and they’re everywhere! Honestly, I was startled when I saw them because I didn’t know where to start…start to take pictures! Every angle was just picture perfect! The sky was blue and everything’s bright and yellow! It was just wonderful.
We even had the chance to ride with an elephant and this gave us the perfect view of the whole sunflower fields.
Aside from the sunflowers, there’s a market at the entrance that we also checked out. Sunflower souvenirs were sold, including tasty Sunflower seeds. Exotic foods were also available. We ate dried maggots, crickets, even small frogs! They weren’t that bad after all. Actually, they’re tasty! Perfect pulutan for the alcoholic beverage Elexis bought. :)
So after having gazillion photos of the sunflower fields and the produce in the market, it was time for the next attraction.
