Bogota
So, after having tons of Latin American friends and having everyone around me speak Spanish :), I finally had the chance to go to Bogota for my friend Paola and Juan's wedding.
Cristina, Brigitte and I were supposed to meet at the airport, and as usual Cristina shows up late with tons of baggage that we all had to carry because they wouldnt let her get in the plane with all those bags unchecked. Anyways we had a lay over in Miami that was only supposed to be for 30 minutes but ended up being 2 hours and we ended up getting very drunk on Mango Mojitos and almost missing our flight. Once inside the plane, we had the best seats available, but we still had to wait around 45 minutes to get on. Anyways, while we were waiting I made friends with one of the flight attendants and he kept giving all of us free bottles of wine during the flight.
So we were pretty happy when we finally arrived in Bogota.Anyways over the next few days, we ate way too much, partied way too much and drank way too much. I dont think we got proper rest at all. Bogota was absolutely beautiful, and the people were awesome. Oh and I got a chance to practice my spanish, granted I was very drunk and do not remember what i was saying, I just remember that I had an entire conversation with a cab driver that did not speak a word of english. Actually my Spanish is quite good when I am drunk, just seem to forget everything when I am sober though....I thought it was supposed to work the other way around!!!
