Tokyo: A Harajuku-Shibuya Night
Back in J-Hoppers Osaka after returning from the club, I took a shower before sleeping and next thing I knew, Eiko was waking me up because it was time to check out! Crap, already? It was 930am. I forgot that we got home past 5am. And I was slightly hungover with serious, major sleep deprivation.
Thankfully, my stuff were already packed, so I took another shower and we checked out. Hungry and dehydrated, we went to Mr. Donuts located just around the corner from the train station to eat before getting on the train and parting ways. I wish I had more time in Osaka - just at least a day to really get some rest. Eiko was awesome - so patient and nice to my many little quirks and demises. Hahaha...
Back in Shin-Osaka, I only had to wait 15 minutes for the next train to Tokyo.
It was a 3.5 hour train ride and boy, was I glad it was that long. I texted my friend, Niji, who I was meeting back in Tokyo that I was arriving later than planned and that I'd call her after I check-in in the hostel. The 3.5-hour train ride was a god send! God-send, I tell ya! I caught up on my sleep there. I think I passed out within 10 minutes of being in my seat. Then 15 minutes before the train arrived in Tokyo Station, I woke up and felt soooo much better. All the hungover-ness feeling was gone. I felt rested and ready to go out that night - which I did.I checked in the hostel. The same hostel, the baKpaK Hostel, from the previous weekend. I re-packed my stuff, prepared what I planned to wear the following day so I didn't have to bother with it the next day, and took another shower.
After dinner, we walked to Shibuya where we drank some beer while hanging out on the street - something I've never done before, Sean practicing his jujitsu moves of me and Megan by the sidewalk, took purikura photos minus Sean - apparently, purikura was not his thing - too girly?, and I bought some sake for my collection and as presents to my brother and sisters.
We met up with Risa later on outside Shibuya Station just before midnight right after she was done with work. There were a group of people holding up a sign saying 'Free Hugs''. Some people did came up to them and gave them a free hug, as well. I personally think they were just trying to cop a feel from those people! LoL. okay. I'm kidding there. But they were amusing to watch. Also Megan's friend left before the train stopped for the night. We all headed to Sean's place to hang out, drank some of Sean's sake collection and ended up crashing at Sean's place. LoL. Having a bed in the hostel was completely useless. Thank goodness it was only 3500yen/night.
