Friends Can’t Go-GO SOLO-JUST GO!!
One of biggest attraction of travelling is the sense of freedom and independence you feel. When travelling, you're often presented with opportunities to experience new places or sights that weren't in your original plan, like many things on the the Old School No Plan Plan Motorcycle Camping Trip. It was great; I went where I wanted, when I wanted with the people I wanted!!
Most people assume that travelling solo means you spend all your time alone. Not true Mr. BILL. You are only need to be alone if you want to be alone. In fact, meeting other people tends to be much easier when you're on your own. You'll be forced to come out of your shell and initiate conversations with others. You Must get over being SHY like Old School IS!! Solo travelers are far more approachable than a couple or with a
large group. I notice this on the Motorcycle, little old ladies will come up and ask where you are from, she & her late husband had a Pan Head in the 50’s with 3 or 4 bikes they head to the other side of the street.
Local people can sometimes be intimidated by large
groups of travelers or the Dredged TOURIST.
So if you're alone, they'll be more inclined to talk to
you, & share local info. I've had some of my best
time talking to a person from the place I am in that day
at a bar or a restaurant over coffee & apple pie next to
the town square
Travelling solo is when you really find out how to do what really needs to be Done, with no one else to rely on, wink wink nod nod (who doesn’t have a cell phone when they travel? I always have my laptop with me!!)
I am as Alone & Lost only as much as I Want to BE for as Long as I want to BE!
Don't wait for everything to be Perfect to go on a trip. Being Perfect is Overrated & HARD, VERY
HARD.
Look for the Reason to go, not Excuses to stay Home!
Plans should be Short, Simple & Easily Disposed Of!
Reservations & Schedules should be kept to an Absolute Minimum!
JUST GO YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID; TRUST!
