Arrived at Buckingham Palace around 11AM.. I (un)fortunatly arrived in time to see the changing of the guard, but there where huge amounts of people planning to see the same things so if you dont meet up many hours before the actual even you should visit Buckinham Palace some other time..
Again with the Tube.. Its almost impossible to take to tube in the weekends. With closed stations , closed lines and delays youre better of with the bus.. or even walking.. The problem is that im not so familiar in london so i dont know which bus to get on or where to get off.. But something good came out of this. When i had to walk from Enbankment to Bank i came over the Lloyds coffe house! All seamen (should) know that this is where modern insurance of ship started and the Lloyds Register of shipping is today one of the biggest insurance companies.. So i got i picture of the plauqe to brag about to my fellow seamen :D
My stay here in London is comming to and end. Leaving 10AM from Gatwick to Manila with a layover in Doha (Qatar). Its actually pretty sad since i havent had time to do all the things i wanted to do.. London is truly an amazing city with alot of good sights , but you have to sort out some of the things to get most of the "feel" of the city in the shortest amount of time.
I will be back and see the sights i missed during my full 4days here in London. These are the things ive been to:
Tower Of london , Londons Eye , Madame Tussauds , National Maritime Museum , Royal Observatory , Shakespeare globe , HMS Beltfast and the Wallace Collection. Im sure ive forgot something here..
Things ive missed: Churchhill museum , Imperial War museum , Firepower! , The rest of maritime Greenwich and loads of other stuff.. As one (slightly) more famous person than me said so long ago: Ill be back!
