Wine = a fantastic way to start the night!

I'm here! Actually here and soo excited; I've never been able to say I live in a flat before! This whole not being in America thing is weird but amazing-everyone got a bit nervous as the other half of the kids in the program (who didn't go on the pretour to) filed into the building (Ashburn Gardens), in Kensington. I was really excited to see Kenny and Jenny (twins) whom I'd met in Long Beach before, but a bit worried about my rommate as Beth told me she had met her and she was an "annoying girl who thinks she's a princess." Turned out that the girls I'd made good friends with the past week were all rooming together, just a floor beneath me-it was soomed determined that I would be the "honorary roommate," along with Brett (the most attractive male in the program, who has the same taste in men as we do-bummer!).

Worry was wasted on my new roommate, Ashley, as she turned out to be fantastic. We made a trip to Sainsbury to get our first load of groceries for our tiny (like the kind of tiny you just keep sodas and beers in) fridge that was meant to be enough for all four of us...this'll be interesting-I'm used to Costco sized freezer packages of food! Of course we had to christen our new place with a glass of wine :)

Tonight calls for a night out on the town-the Gloucester Arms was in order, along with a good pint or two (wow the beer here is expensive after the conversion rate from US to pounds!)
