Getting Lost and Adventures in the Louvre

This morning we had free time to explore the city. We don't speak French, and apparently that makes not getting lost quite a task (maybe that's just us?) We wandered around Paris, trying to find the Catacombs, only to find them 2 hours later. They were closed. Oh well, no harm we still got to see lots of the city on the way. Still, we couldn't resist taking a picture of a dissappointed looking Justine in front of the entrance, just for kicks. Somehow we ended up, of all places, at a Starbucks. Not my idea, but the bonding was fantastic. I think we sat there for at least an hour, just people watching and swapping stories.
We had to get back to the hotel for a bus ride to the Louvre. The ride there was beautiful, and the famed museum definitely didn't disappoint either.
On our way down the hill, we decided we were hungry so we stopped by a small cafe/bar for pastries and wine, where we met an artist from Ireland who had moved to Paris to pursue his passion, leaving behind his partner whom he spoke fondly of. The whole night seemed a bit surreal and I drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face. Tomorrow it's time to head to Belgium!
