Orchard Road, Sentosa

Orchard Road is lined with shops and department stores, so the morning we spent there was just enough for us to walk most of its distance but not really shop.
Near the MRT station, we saw an ice cream cart and we couldn't resist buying. We chose what flavor we each liked, then had it made into a wafer sandwich. Mmmm, yummy! And it only cost a dollar :)
We opted to take the bus to take us to Sentosa Island, instead of the cable car. It was faster and we only had the afternoon to spend there. As expected, we couldn't agree on what Sentosa package to purchase, so we decided to pay for the entrance and then buy tickets as we move along. The bus transportation around the island is free anyway, so you can still enjoy there without paying much.
Imbiah Lookout has the best attractions, which was where we spent most of our time. The first thing we did was watch the 4D Magix show. It was definitely high-quality and very entertaining. It felt so real that I was so freaked during the part when the bees started flying all over the place!
The Luge and Skyride was a lot of fun. We each rode a luge to get to the bottom. A little hard to control at the beginning but it was easy to get the hang of. Then we rode the skyride to bring us back to the top. I suppose it's pretty much like going to the ski slope, minus all the gear and the snow :P
On our way to the Musical Fountain, we passed by the Orchid Gardens. There were so many varieties of orchids, we found ourselves quietly admiring each one.
The last thing on our list was the Magical Sentosa Show at the fountain. This light, sound, and laser show is about half an hour long, but it seemed longer. It's free but since it's a popular attraction, it gets filled way before the show even starts. It's best to get there even an hour before. The show was very impressive, though some parts became kind of boring. But I don't think the Sentosa experience would be complete without it.
It was a long day, but it was far from over. We still had to take a 6-hour night bus trip to get to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
