I don't mean to complain, but....

And we survived

it's now so hot that the air conditioning unit in the campervan can't keep the thing cool. We've been driving most of the day with the A/C off to conserve fuel on these long drives, but with the temp moving ever upwards I don't think it'll stay off for long tomorrow.....or else I'll probably be on the news tomorrow night as the guy pulled over for driving in the nude.

For some reason I thought todays drive was supposed to be a lot shorter than it actually was, I had it in my head that it was only 300km's, when in reality it was 540km's. The first 100km's weren't that bad, but the endless nothingness and lack of bends soon begins to bore.

Even the usual large amounts of dead animals by the side of the road didn't materialise in the numbers we're used to. The highlights being a Wedge Tailed Eagle lunching on a deceased calf, a pair of hind legs trapped in a cattle grid...no sign of the rest of the poor thing.

Wendy also got another 200km's under her belt, once again uneventfull and at least this time the oncoming drivers waved in appreciation of her not crashing into them ;o)   I'll let you know tomorrow if I get a punch for that.
