Onwards and upwards, and upwards some more
After deciding that Canberra couldn't even keep these 2 hip cats occupied for the night, we headed back to the coast. After spending most of the journey to Canberra going up into the hills, you'd expect at some point to start the downward journey, well that didn't happen until about 30km's from our destination. In fact the road kept going up back into the clouds. You know the roads are steep when they have safety ramps every 1km or so.
The journey got so cold that we actually turned off the A/C for once and put the heater on, only for a short period before becoming uncomfortable with the thought of using heating during the Australian summer...
The campsite is in a very good location, it's very quiet for once and just over the road from the beach.
Which was unusually empty when we walked from one end to the other, including the cliff at one end. It's becoming a bit of a common occurance, but the Roo's came into the campsite tonight to eat again....and just like Dr. Doolittle they seem to like me. They flocked around the campervan and one came right up to be fed, it didn't like the grass I had in my hand, so it just stood there looking right at me. Then it continued to follow me back to the van whilst I sat on the bottom step. Wendy took a picture of the event, but due to the atmospheric conditions it looks like my double crown has spread to a triple, maybe quadruple crown.....so it won't be put on public display.
