Longest day ever.....

This is where things got complicated and is probably the main reason we feel totally spaced out. We landed in San Francisco just after noon on the 20th, which kinda means we've arrived in America 4 hours before we left Australia...this ain't gonna be good for our internal clocks.
Well the nice lady at Sydney airport was correct and we were sat in Premium Economy for the flight from Oz. To be honest I seriously think Premium Economy on Qantas is better than some long haul business class flights I've been on (Air France and NWA spring to mind immediately). The service was excellent, the meals much better than cattle class....not sure how we can fly regular long haul economy again.
As we suspected upon leaving Sydney we missed our connecting Boston flight, which meant we'd have to wait about 11 hours to catch the red eye. It was all very sketchy trying to get information from anyone about what to do, eventually someone told us to get our ticket for the Boston flight and then head to the Hyatt, as they'd have arranged for us to have a room until departure.
After a quick pitstop at the hotel to freshen up we headed into downtown San Fran, I've been there before on a couple of occassions but Woo hasn't. As most tourists do we headed to Pier 39, which for some reason Woo had never heard off. The weather was a perfect introduction to the US, clear blue skies and around 80 degrees. Did the standing around looking at the seals, the bridge and alcatraz thing before walking back to downtown. Very pleasant and good to stretch the legs.
