It's a good job we'd booked in for 2 nights as we both woke up at 9.30 this morning, I blame the thunder and very loud rain that kept us awake during the night.
Today we took full advantage of the generous public transport system here in Darwin and took the bus back into the centre, this time we were on a mission....that mission was to visit Crocosaurus Cove, Darwin's premier reptile exhibition.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable place to visit, although I think they must drug the crocs as they didn't seem to move much. The people in the 'cage of death' were actually banging on the perspex to get the croc to do something other than just sit at the side of the tank as far away from them as it could. Obviously the excitement of having 2 living eatable things lowered into your tank has worn off now that it knows it can't really eat 'em.
The rest of the day we spent travelling on the bus, paying $2AUD every 3 hours to go anywhere. Not really, but it wasn't that exciting to be honest.
