Didn't sleep well last night, staying in the city near Legian Beach means it is VERY noisy. Woke up early and went investigating the local area. Every shop buyer calls out for you to "come try" and tries to sell their goods to you. Men out the front use sayings such as "hello darling" and "hello gorgeous" and try to shake your hand and then try to sell something to you.

I had my first haggling experience today.. some guy trying to sell me some balinese oil paintings. "I milling rupiah good price" I ended up paying 500000 rupiah and know i still got ripped off. haha

I found an awesome DVD store and bought bout 30 discs for $25,

Went out to get lunch this afternoon and got food, 2 longnecks of 'Bintang' and a bottle of coke for 72000 rupiah, about $8-$9. So cheap!! and also, BINTANG IS AWESOME BEER!

Approx 3am, woke up after having a nap with the intention of walking up to Seminyak to the 'double six' club to do night bungy jumping. Went for a walk to Seminyak alright and then got totally lost! haha

25-30: number of times I was offered "transport, transport"

10-15: number of times a taxi or a motorbike stopped to try and get me to use "transport, transport"

10-15: same number of times I was beeped at or called "darling" or "gorgeous"

4: number of westerners that I saw on my 1 hour round trip adventure.

6: number of times I thought I was going to be bitten by a stray dog and end up with rabies.

1: number of times I got onto the back of a motorbike being offered to me as "transport, transport"

Well I had to do it at least once. What I did tonight i would NEVER have done in Sydney.. fearful for my safety the whole time.
