This Island seems much over looked even though it is bigger and smellier than its sister islands. It has the lush greenery though you have to look for it, it has the surf and the great beaches. It also has the volcano ( that would be the smell ) and when she wants the show can be amazing. Don't go with explosions in mind but expect to be awed by the amazing power of the earth. It left me speechless and feeling very small.
It is both one of the driest and the wettest places you can visit in the United States, oh and the most expensive !
But go if you can it is well worth the flight.
